Fall is here! And honestly, it’s probably my favorite part of the year. I love the food, the cool air, the Holidays, and the fashion!
Fall also has some of the best date ideas for couples (who doesn’t love to cuddle in big blankets by the fireplace?). So I’ve put together a list of some of my favorite date ideas for the Autumnal season!
- Haunted House
Who doesn’t love a haunted house? Or even a haunted forest for that matter! It’s the perfect activity for those who love the rush of being scared. Or even just an excuse to hold your significant other’s hand.
2. Visit a Pick-Your-Own Farm
Go to a farm that gives you the option to pick your own fruit or vegetables, such as apples or pumpkins. It’s always fun to wander around and see who can find the best produce!
3. Carve Pumpkins
After you pick some pumpkins, sit down and carve them. Have a contest and see who can carve the best pumpkin. Winner gets to pick what movie you watch!
4. Sit by the Campfire and Roast S’mores
Find a fire pit, buy some marshmallows, chocolate, and graham crackers and you’re all set. Perfect for when you want to relax and eat some yummy treats!
5. Watch a Scary Movie or Two
Scary movies aren’t for everyone, but if you’re an avid scary movie watcher, this is perfect for a date between you and your significant other. And if you want to make your night spookier, take your blankets and laptop outside for an even scarier atmosphere.
6. Game night by the fire
Game nights are perfect for those necessary calm, quiet nights in. Light the fire, get some wine and beer, set up a stack of your favorite games, and you are set for the rest of the night!
7. Find a Corn Maze
Being from Georgia, I grew up going to corn mazes. It can be so much fun getting lost with your significant other. Or it can really test your patience. Either way, a corn maze is a great fall date idea!
8. Bake a Fall Dessert
Pies, caramel apples, pumpkin everything. These are just a few things that come to mind when I think of fall desserts. Get into the kitchen and bake something up. And then enjoy your creation afterwards.
9. Go on a long drive
One of the best parts of fall is the fall foliage. Go for a drive to look at the changing leaves. And as a bonus, the two of you will have some great conversation on the drive!
10. Take a Ghost Tour
Plenty of cities have ghost tours year round, but the best time to go is around Halloween. What’s spookier than real ghosts at the spookiest time of the year?
11. Visit a Brewery
A lot of breweries will have drinks based on the season. Head to one of your local breweries to try to some limited edition seasonal drinks!
12. Attend a festival
There are all kinds of festivals in the fall: music festivals, fairs, art festivals, hot air balloon festivals. The opportunities are endless. Find something that interests you and make a day out of it.
What are some of your favorite fall dates? Let me know in the comments!
xoxo, Emily
